Day 161
Today is a special treat for you. Since this month I missed so many, I decided to post a photo series today, instead of picking just one. Today was Dan’s birthday, and the photos are unrelated to that, but it just also makes it appropriate to do it today. 
I got a Kinder Egg, and the toy was this cute little robot dude. I decided to follow him around his universe and, with his permission, was able to catch some photos of him exploring. According to the info portrait that came with the egg, he is one of the bad guys, but I completely disagree. He is actually not shooting his weapon, so I’ve concluded that he is a spy. Of course, he’d never tell me this. He never told me his name either. I called him Harold.
I claim this chocolate in the name of Harold.

Day 148
One of my roommates has a cool sprouter thing that she grows little… yes, sprouts, in. These grew larger… not sure if she had planned to put them in her garden. Anyways, I thought they looked cool, but a bit Day of the Triffids-ish. Which was disturbing.

Day 146
I didn’t think that I’d already be posting a pic of my ring when I took this photo, so I was going to put something else for today. However, I also have a funny story about this one. I actually forgot I took this pic (it’s with one of the roses that Dan bought me), and then spent about 15 minutes freaking out right before I went to bed thinking I’d lost my ring… already.. only a few days after getting it (it’s a little too big so I thought it came off). I went so far as to take all the blankets off the bed, and check in my pile of laundry to find it. Then suddenly had an epiphany and remembered where it was… sigh.
So until I get it resized again, it’s been on my middle finger while I sleep, because it fits that one a little better, and I don’t worry about it.

Day 140
Today Dan and I went for a picnic Twas a lovely day, and the first time I FINALLY got to go on a real picnic with someone. We went to a place that I had previously gone to by myself when I needed some time alone. It was nice to be able to share it with someone. <3
I took a bunch of photos and asked Dan to pick his favourite for today.

Day 139
Today was the only (thankfully) day that I had to work while Dan was visiting. While I was gone he bought me flowers and had them waiting for me on my desk when I got home

Day 138
Today we went to my parents’ house, so that Dan could have a chance to visit with them, and meet a small portion of my extended family (we had some of them over for dinner). My mom has a great lilac bush in the front yard, and they also have some not-so-wild creatures that roam around their yard. Dan liked the flowers, but I couldn’t decide which pic I liked best.

This is just one of a few rabbits they have, not to be mistaken by any turkeys, peacocks, roosters, hens, or kitties.

One of my roommates is planting a veggie and herb garden. These are the little baby herbs who are waiting to be big enough to go outside to the big boy playground. Cuties.

Went for a walk today with Francis (the lawnmower, if you recall). here is evidence of our outing. It was good times. The lawn thanked me, after it stopped screaming.

Went for a Sunday walk in Kilally Meadows. It was naturey. Interseting landscapes for sure.

More flowery goodness leads us to the front yard. This poor little guy is all by himself in the front garden area. I can only imagine what he contemplates by sitting alone out there, having beat all the rest of the flowers to the sun. Perhaps if he’d been patient, he’d have some company.

It seems just within the last couple of days that spring has truly sprung. The flowers are growing and trees are budding. This is from a shrub or tree branch in our neighbours’ yard that has snuck through the fence onto our side.

Went over to my brother’s place for a BBQ. My mom’s in town for a little while awaiting the birth of my niece, any time now! It was nice to get to visit her a few times while she was here.
We went for a brief walk with Jasper to give my brother some more time to BBQ peacefully. lol This is he with my mom, and a flower (dandelion) that I picked for him. lol

Today, in lieu of doing the regular Sunday Walk a few of us participated in a Tree Planting event for Earth Day. It was a cool and windy day, but I think we felt accomplished in the end!

It seemed about time, with some hints of warm weather, that we broke in the bonfire pit for the 2009 season. It’s Good Friday, so it seemed an even better reason to do something sort of festive. It was a bit of a cool night, but we had some great hot dogs and s’mores!

My roommate has a great mom (well so do I, and so does my other roommate). She (one of the roommates) was having a girl’s night party on the weekend so her mom brought over some pie, and strawberries and flowers for everyone. So sweet.
