Day 161
Today is a special treat for you. Since this month I missed so many, I decided to post a photo series today, instead of picking just one. Today was Dan’s birthday, and the photos are unrelated to that, but it just also makes it appropriate to do it today. 
I got a Kinder Egg, and the toy was this cute little robot dude. I decided to follow him around his universe and, with his permission, was able to catch some photos of him exploring. According to the info portrait that came with the egg, he is one of the bad guys, but I completely disagree. He is actually not shooting his weapon, so I’ve concluded that he is a spy. Of course, he’d never tell me this. He never told me his name either. I called him Harold.
I claim this chocolate in the name of Harold.

Day 158
I took a lot of photos this day…. a lot of my parents’ house, where they’ve lived for 22 years… I’m keeping those photos for myself, and don’t want to post them here.
However, on my drive back into London, I had quite the animal rescue ordeal. Traffic was STOPPED, and I couldn’t figure out why. I saw this guy trying to shove/kick something off the road , but couldn’t tell what it was. It DID look like an animal, but I couldn’t tell if it was alive… then I could see it hissing and biting at the guy’s foot… omg. So I get out of my car to see wtf is going on. Meanwhile a guy from the Tim Horton’s across the street had come over with a shovel to help. It tied up 2 lanes of traffic for a couple minutes, then one lane of traffic for about 5 minutes. I asked if I could take a pic, they said yes. I also DID actually help, because the guy was having trouble getting the MASSIVE TURTLE to stay on the shovel, so I nudged it on with my foot. woot.
He put it in the bank beside the road, which leads to a nature area. Rather than the commercial area where this guy was headed. Hopefully he stays in the safe spot.

My parents are also moving this year, and thus having a few yard sales of their own. I went to join them (and to drop off some stuff), and this little guy joined us for part of it. I got a little too close taking this pic I think, and he finally flew off.

So, this is a bit of a cheat, but.. today I just took video. I don’t want to totally forego the 365 photos thing, so I took a still from one of the videos. I was originally planning to do another yard sale video, but decided not to. However, I did have some footage, including Kitty “begging” for food…. hahaha She looks awesome.
Unfortunately, printscreen doesn’t work properly on videos anymore I’ve noticed. After playing around with it a bit, I decided I had to take a picture of the screen…. literally. Sorry for the poor quality, but I think you get a feel for her annoyance… lol

Day 151
Upon my search through stuff that I gathered for the yard sale, I came across a little toy ball for Kitty that had been long ago shoved behind something. A little cleaning, and she was back at it.

Day 138
Today we went to my parents’ house, so that Dan could have a chance to visit with them, and meet a small portion of my extended family (we had some of them over for dinner). My mom has a great lilac bush in the front yard, and they also have some not-so-wild creatures that roam around their yard. Dan liked the flowers, but I couldn’t decide which pic I liked best.

This is just one of a few rabbits they have, not to be mistaken by any turkeys, peacocks, roosters, hens, or kitties.

Day 137
Dan’s nickname from university is Goat… I don’t recall exactly why (he told me the story once). Today we went to Colasanti’s, which is a fun little greenhouse/gift place/indoor park/petting zoo thing. They keep expanding/changing lately. We mostly just went in the petting zoo, as the rest of it is geared towards shopping or families. They have great prices on plants, but since plants can’t be brought across the border into the U.S. neither of us really wanted to buy any.

Day 127
Today I decided to tackle some stuff for the yard sale. Made some good progress, which led to the ability to open the door of my bedroom wider than before. I cleared out some stuff that was piled behind it. I wanted to take a picture of the nice wide open space, and didn’t realize until I saw the photo that Kitty was being creepy and staring at me in the background…..

Day 121
Today, I went to ‘the biggest toy store there is’, as Dan so kindly reminded me it was. I made sure I got a little something for Jasper too, so he didn’t feel left out of the gift opening. This is the cute reusable shopping bag that I used as a gift bag, and the toy that I got him. The bag actually has 2 bears on it, which I figured represented Jasper and Arosa.

I apparently realized I didn’t have enough photos lately of Kitty and myself. This is the best I could do….

Day 099
Kitty likes laundry baskets. Not entirely sure what the appeal is, because I can’t imagine the comfort level being all that high. I get the ‘warm towel’ thing, but not the empty basket thing. Especially when she stuffs herself so far to the edge that her fur fluffs out of the openings.

Day 089
This is was my dog, Spencer. To avoid rehashing his entire backstory, I will just say that he was staying with family for a while, and they could no longer care for him. I was unable to take him where I am currently living, despite the perfect back yard… so I had to find him a new home. I know he will be loved and well taken care of there, but it’s still hard. Especially since I didn’t really want to give him up…

When I chat with Dan, some times we have a webcam on to make things seem a little closer. This is Machu, his parent’s cat, perched on his chair waiting for him to get back from somewhere. I took a picture of the computer screen. lol

I finally took a sick day from work, or a 1/2 day, I can’t recall now. I decided to spend part of the day in our back living room to get some change of scenery. Kitty joined me and watched squirrels running around the back yard. She usually just stays in whatever room I happen to be in when I’m home, so it was nice to get her out of the bedroom for a while too.

I’m writing this a few days later, so I can’t exactly recall the purpose of this photo. I’m going to assume that I was really tired this day and basically sleeping was all I thought of. That’s usually how it goes.
