Day 120
Last day of April. And… the first day of the rest of Arosa’s life.
My niece was born today, 4/30 at 3:34pm! Cooool. She’s cute
Welcome to life Arosa.

cheek!
Day 119
Finally decided to go through a few of my books today, to separate a few of the ones that I DON’T want to keep. I think I was able to get rid of about 15 without feeling guilty. Yeah, I need to try again.

so many unread pages... sigh
Day 118
More flowery goodness leads us to the front yard. This poor little guy is all by himself in the front garden area. I can only imagine what he contemplates by sitting alone out there, having beat all the rest of the flowers to the sun. Perhaps if he’d been patient, he’d have some company.

I was alone... I was all by myself
Day 117
It seems just within the last couple of days that spring has truly sprung. The flowers are growing and trees are budding. This is from a shrub or tree branch in our neighbours’ yard that has snuck through the fence onto our side.

hey buuuuddy
Day 116
Went over to my brother’s place for a BBQ. My mom’s in town for a little while awaiting the birth of my niece, any time now! It was nice to get to visit her a few times while she was here.
We went for a brief walk with Jasper to give my brother some more time to BBQ peacefully. lol This is he with my mom, and a flower (dandelion) that I picked for him. lol

dandy!
Day 115
I apparently realized I didn’t have enough photos lately of Kitty and myself. This is the best I could do….

she's just shy...
Day 114
Not gonna lie, I think this pic is kinda gross. Unfortunately, it’s all I took today. lol
I used to LOVE making chicken. It’s one of my favourite foods. Considering it’s just me for now though (well, I do have 2 roommates, but don’t cook for them as much as I probably should… lol) I rarely make MEALS anymore. However, I felt inspired and bought some chicken. This is mid-cook… obviously, as the pinkness can testify to.

make sure all your meat is cooked thoroughly
Day 113
I’m sure instant coffee isn’t that exciting to people who don’t drink it. But, I have found myself in the habit of having a mug every morning at work. It’s very cheap this way… a $3 – $4 jar of it lasts a really long time. If I were to buy each of these coffees separately I can imagine it easily adding up to over $50. Frugality is a virtue (or should be).

who could ever imagine this would turn into a tasty pick me up
Day 112
umm.. well… I don’t know what to say about this one. My bad. I will do some double days to make up for it.

oops
Day 111
Ended up getting bored and playing with the camera to realize that a beer bottle makes a really interesting filter. In the middle is Dan, on the phone with me, wearing his hippie shirt from Hallowe’en last year. lol

can love be found at the bottom of a glass?
Day 110
Visited my brother today. My mom is in town, as we’re awaiting the birth of my niece any day now. This is how a 2 year old eats ice cream treats. Don’t let the eyebrows fool you. That means he’s having a good time.

squished is best
Day 109
Today, in lieu of doing the regular Sunday Walk a few of us participated in a Tree Planting event for Earth Day. It was a cool and windy day, but I think we felt accomplished in the end!

when brown becomes green
Day 108
I finally broke in the glasses that I purchased at the going-out-of-business sale at our local hang out. I wish I’d done so sooner! They’re very sturdy.

cheers
Day 107
I don’t get to watch movies as much as I’d like at the moment, but when I do my attention span doesn’t last through the movie anyways. haha But tonight I watched one. Or tried, at least.

tv's aren't very inspiring with their power off
Day 106
So this was a portion of my GST cheque and tax refund that I cashed today. Much appreciated and much needed $$! Hurrah!

it's not easy being green
