Every once in a while have ‘theme’ parties and dress up for fun. It’s not as creepy as it sounds. Tonight we went with feathers. It was very fun! Masks and boas and what not abound. Lots of great photo ops for sure, and this is just one. It’s most definitely an interesting way to break the ice with people.

Day 058
One of my friends hosted a Japanese dinner party. I learned how to use chopsticks! It was my duty to bring dessert, so I choose fruit and made green tea flavoured whipped cream/dip. I also bought some unique flavoured frozen treats. It wasn’t entirely Japanese, but not bad!

I went to bed quite late this night apparently… different than my supposed ‘early’ night not long ago. I really need to stop doing that. 
Then things might be a little more interesting around here if there was some energy to it.

If you recall, one of the girls at work knits cute little animal figures. I bought some yarn for her a couple of weeks ago, and this is the result!! CUUUUTE. Knitty Kitty with its inspiration (real Kitty).

Day 055
See… told you my computer nearly died. It made it to the point of needing a reformat. The act of reformatting was nearly VERY difficult, as I had to search, and search, for a couple of days actually, before finding the recovery disk. My computer is nearly 3 years old, and barely still in warranty, so I was lucky that it didn’t end up something harder to solve. Hopefully it doesn’t decide to die again in the next months. *knock on wood*

So, I actually missed a day. My computer was totally on the fritz, and I spent 5 hours trying to fix it… whilst this has nothing to do with my camera, it did completely absorb all my attention this day. Thus, it seems appropriate that the day my computer had a near-death experience is the day that I missed a pic.

Tonight was Oscar night!! I was lucky enough to be able to go to an Oscar party to watch them proper. This was the winner of the Oscar pool. We found out later that he used some predictions from a local newspaper as his guesses.

This was the ‘treasure map’ that I brought along with me to the London Pirate Rampage. It was a lot of fun over all, even if a couple small things happened that weren’t so fun. lol It’s not every night that you can get away with dressing up as a pirate…

Dan sent me a Valentine’s Day present in the mail. It was cute. Cute card with kitties, and a little video he put together of some pics of us and captions playing to the song I answered when he randomly asked ‘whats your favourite love song’. lol He’s a keeper.
He says he like surprises, but can’t seem to surprise me because I usually end up figuring out what he’s up to.

Believe it or not, this was an ‘early’ bed time for me. I usually wake up between 7-7:20am. No… no, I don’t get enough sleep. Why do you ask?

On Family Day I helped my mom wrap some presents for her party. they were door prizes, and for games and what not. They looked cute. It’s nice to make use of wrapping paper that’s been around for a while!

I was visiting my parents for the weekend, and while there borrowed some CDs from my mom to add some music to the collection for her party.

I don’t recall what led to taking a photo of this globe, but I’m sure it had something to do with saying that on Valentine’s Day Dan and I were really only a few inches apart, rather than thousands of miles. This globe is one that my dad got as a present before I was even born.
